Cheteshwar Pujara’s brilliant double ton and Murali Vijay’s patient 164-run knock has put India in a commanding position in the second Test match against Australia at Hyderabad. This is Pujara’s second double-hundred in Test cricket and in the process the batsman went on to go past his 1000-run mark in Test cricket.
India made 400 for three in the first innings at lunch on the third day of the second cricket Test against Australia at the Rajiv Gandhi International, Uppal, here Monday.
Overnight batsmen Cheteshwar Pujara (204) and Murali Vijay (167) were the two wickets to fall in the day as India stretched its lead to 163 runs.
