NEWS Pakistan in India 2005>Regular Indo-Pak cricket has reduced its charm 22nd Aug 2005 15.51 IST By Agencies Frequent cricket exchanges between India and Pakistan have reduced its charm and the coming series between the archrivals would not deliver the same financial bonanza like the one last year. "When India tours Pakistan in January next year, the Board will not get the same offers or bids which it did last year," a market analyst said. The analyst pointed out that the Indian Board also did not earn what it anticipated from hosting Pakistan early this year. According to the report, the marketing men of the Pakistan Cricket Board managed to earn revenue of just over 300 million rupees since 2000, which includes over Rs 220 million from last year's home series against India. However, a Board source said that the coming series against England had been sold for Rs 15 million to Bank Al-Falah which was not a bad effort since sponsors were keen to keep a budget for the series against India that follows in January-February and the Asia Cup. "It is a packed season so naturally sponsors have a chance to pick and choose and naturally they go for India," he said.
