NEWS Tri-Nation Tournament in Sri Lanka>No problem playing under Dravid: Ganguly 29th July 2005 20.51 IST By Agencies Ex-skipper Sourav Ganguly on Friday said he was pleasantly surprised at his ban for slow over rates in ODIs being reduced from 6 to 4 matches and that he did not foresee any problem playing under Rahul Dravid in the Tri-series in Sri Lanka. "I did not expect that the ban will be reduced so much," Ganguly told newspersons at his Behala residence in Kolkata. "I don't mind playing under anybody - be it Dravid or Virender Sehwag or Harbhajan Singh," he said. Ganguly was banned for 6 ODIs after India twice failed to complete its overs in time during the home series against Pakistan. His appeal against the ban was turned down by an ICC Appeals Commissioner, but the Indian Cricket Board's arguing his case with an ICC Dispute Resolution Committee resulted in a partial relief for him. Having sat out of the last two matches of the Pakistan series, Ganguly would be eligible to play for India from the third match of the tri-series in Sri Lanka. India take on the hosts in the opening match at the same venue on Saturday. The West Indies are the third team in the tourney. Ganguly would leave for Colombo on Sunday en route to Dambulla to join the Indian team before the side's third match against the Lankans on August 3. The Southpaw said though he had mostly played as an opener in the ODIs, he would not mind batting in any position to suit the needs of the team.
