India's stand-in captain Virender Sehwag today said that the win in Twenty-20 international against South Africa would lift the morale of the struggling team and give the players a much-needed boost for the rest of the tour.

“We will take the confidence from this match into Sunday's game (fifth and final ODI),” Virender Shewag said after India's thrilling six-wicket victory, which halted their losing streak on the tour.

Sehwag praised his bowlers for restricting South Africa to a modest target.

"Our bowlers did a fine job. They bowled in the right areas and restricted South Africa," he said.

Sehwag was also all praise for the batting display put up by Dinesh Mongia and Dinesh Karthik . "They batted very well."

Losing captain Greame Smith said that the team should have scored a few more runs.

"We needed a few more runs on the board. We also did not out enough pressure in the last ten overs," he said.

But Smith was confident of recapturing his teams winning momentum in Sunday's fifth and final one dayers.

"We will try and turn back things come Sunday." Asked about the game's new version, Smith said, "The atmosphere today was fantastic and people loved it."
