Impressive performances in the just-concluded India-Pakistan series have helped Sachin Tendulkar and Yuvraj Singh jump up a few notches in the latest ICC ODI ranking for batsmen.

His 42nd one-day hundred may continue to elude him, but with 259 runs in five matches, Tendulkar climbed two places to eighth position in the charts.

Tendulkar ended 2007 with 1,425 runs from 33 ODIs, including 911 runs in the last three series against England, Australia and Pakistan.

Only Australian Matthew Hayden (1,555 runs from 29 matches) has scored more runs in 2007.

Yuvraj's player of the series performance against Pakistan - with 272 runs in five outings - saw him gain six places to 11th position.

ODI captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni retains his 18th position. continued..
