When asked how aggressive was Ishant, he said that he was better than Australian fast bowler Brett Lee.
Swing bowling by Indian medium pacers like Irfan Pathan and Rudra Pratap Singh is good, Srinath said.
When asked about another fast bowler S Sreesanth, he said "we have to leave him as aggressive as he is. If it (aggressiveness) goes, he will lose his sting".
Commenting on Rohit Sharma's batting against Sri Lanka yesterday, Srinath said, "it was a superb play". He said Sharma had "great batting potential and tremendous technique".
Former India pacer and the current bowling coach Venkatesh Prasad has made a huge difference by training the fast bowlers at the entry level, he said.
Replying to a question, Srinath said though the role of ICC Match Referee is "very interesting", it entails "huge responsibility". |
