The Indian team's success has been evident from its recent record, but the Pakistan officials are confident that their team is good enough to beat its top rivals and continue its 11-match winning spree in the three-nation tournament in Bangladesh that gets underway in Dhaka from June 8.
''We've won our last 11 one-dayers and will go all out to continue the winning spree in Bangladesh,'' team manager Talat Ali Malik told 'The News'.
Pakistan had been unbeaten since prevailing against India in a dead rubber of their away series in Jaipur last November.
Since that win, Pakistan had recorded 5-0 series triumphs against minnows Zimbabwe and Bangladesh on home soil earlier this year.
Talat, a former Test cricketer, believes that though, the Indian youngsters have performed better than their Pakistani counterparts in the IPL, the recent form of Sohail Tanvir and Umar Gul will definitely help his team.
''I believe the performances of Tanvir and Gul are really heartening,'' said Talat, who was a part of the IPL as a Match Referee, ''And also (opener) Salman Butt, who played a few very good knocks in the tournament,'' he added.
