Haddin to let CA take final call on Champions Trophy

Clearly in two minds on whether to tour a volatile Pakistan for the Champions Trophy, Australian wicketkeeper Brad Haddin leaves it on Cricket Australia to take the final call on the issue.
Though the International Cricket Council is insisting that Pakistan is safe enough to host the elite event, Australian cricketers are quite apprehensive about the security scenario there.
Haddin, who toured Pakistan as captain of the Australian 'A' team in 2005, says he would trust Cricket Australia and go by their instructions.
"It was obviously a lot different circumstances there (from 2005) compared to now. But once you do your pre-tour visit and get your go ahead by Cricket Australia and all the powers that be, you've got to put your trust in them," Haddin was quoted as saying by the Australian Associated Press.
Australia, in March, had postponed their Pakistan tour due to political unrest and security problems there. |
