Pakistan face daunting task against Sri Lanka
28th Jun 2008 23:01 IST Agencies
The Sri Lankan top-order is in prime form with Kumar Sangakkara and Sanath Jayasuriya shining at the group stage with Chamara Kapugedara lending solidity to the middle order.
Their bowlers have also done a commendable job though the performance has come against lesser opponents like Bangladesh and United Arab Emirates.
Like India, Sri Lanka have entered the Super Four stage with two carry-forward points having won both their group A matches and the home team will need to put up an inspired show to stop them.
Their first real challenge will come tomorrow in what promises to be a thrilling contest in front of a holiday crowd.
