Statistical highlights of the Asia Cup match between India and Pakistan played at National Stadium in Karachi on Wednesday:

# India (308/7) recorded their best total against a Test-playing nation in the Asia Cup, bettering their 301/4 against Pakistan at Karachi on June 26, 2008.

# Sohail Tanvir (10-0-87-1) produced his worst ever bowling figures in limited-overs internationals. His figures are the worst by a Pakistani bowler against India. Only Naved-ul-Hasan (8-0-92-2) against South Africa at Centurion on February 4, 2007 has conceded more runs than Sohail in an innings for Pakistan.

# Yuvraj Singh completed his 6,000 runs in ODIs during his innings of 37 off 32 balls - 6033 runs at an average of 36.56 in 210 ODIs.

# Yuvraj is the fifth Indian batsman to aggregate 6,000 runs or more in ODIs, joining Sachin Tendulkar (16361), Sourav Ganguly (11363), Rahul Dravid (10585) and Mohammad Azharuddin (9378).

# Gautam Gambhir and Virender Sehwag were associated in a stand of 88, taking their partnership aggregate to 867 in 16 innings at an average of 54.18.

# Mahendra Singh Dhoni, in his last four innings, has registered three 50-plus innings - 64 against Pakistan at Dhaka on June 14, 2008, 109 not out against Hong Kong at Karachi on June 25, 26 not out against Pakistan at Karachi on June 26 and 76 against Pakistan at Karachi on July 2.

# Dhoni has averaged 80.75 in 2008 - 646 runs in 14 innings - his best year in terms of averages in limited-overs internationals.

# When Dhoni reached 69, he completed his 1,000 runs as an Indian captain. He is the sixth Indian captain to amass 1,000 runs or more as captain, joining Azharuddin (5239), Ganguly (5082), Dravid (2658), Tendulkar (2454) and Kapil Dev (1563).

# Rao Iftikhar (3/51) produced his best bowling figures against India. His career-best is 3/31 against South Africa at Faisalabad on October 23, 2007.

# Younis Khan completed his 5,000 runs in ODIs - 5087 at an average of 33.91 in 174 matches. He is the ninth Pakistani to achieve the feat.

# Younis Khan's 123 not out is his highest score against India - his third century against India is his fifth in ODIs.

# Pakistan registered their fourth victory against India in eight Asia Cup games - their 16th overall in 27 Asia Cup games.

# Pakistan, for the first time, have successfully chased a total of 300 runs or more at National Stadium, Karachi. The only previous occasion when they made 300 in the second innings, was against India, making 344/8, losing the game by five runs on March 13, 2004.

# Pakistan's eight-wicket triumph is their biggest ever in terms of wickets in the Asia Cup.

# The 144-run unbroken partnership between Younis Khan and Misbah-ul-Haq is Pakistan's highest for the third wicket against India at Karachi, eclipsing the 135 between Mohammad Yousuf and Inzamam-ul-Haq on March 13, 2004.

# Misbah's first fifty against India is his fifth in ODIs. His 70 not out is second best score in ODIs - his career best being 76 against Sri Lanka at Karachi on June 29, 2008.
