The ICC will discuss Cricket South Africa's pull-out from next month's Champions Trophy in Pakistan owing to security concerns in Sunday' Board meeting.

"The ICC task team noted the decision of Cricket South Africa, announced on Friday, not to send a team to the ICC Champions Trophy. Comment on that matter will be forthcoming after the ICC Board meeting," the ICC said in a statement.

The task team yesterday also held a teleconference to discuss the feedback received from meetings with stakeholders from Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa ahead of next month's Champions Trophy.

That feedback was discussed and will now be considered by the Board, which is scheduled to have its own teleconference tomorrow.

The task team is made up of ICC President David Morgan, Sharad Pawar, the ICC Vice President, ICC Chief Executive Officer Haroon Lorgat, the ICC Principal Advisor Inderjit Singh Bindra and representatives of the Pakistan Cricket Board, the ICC's Broadcast Partner ESPN STAR Sports, the ICC's independent security advisors and the Federation of International Cricketers Associations (FICA).

Set up on July 24, the task team's role is to ensure the effective implementation of the recommendations of the ICCs independent security advisors.

The task team has also been assigned the job of liaising with various stakeholders, including embassies within Pakistan and other Governments, on an ongoing basis to ensure effective communication and the management of any concerns that may exist.
