The International Cricket Council (ICC) today appointed former India pacer Javagal Srinath as the match referee for the upcoming ODI series between Australia and Bangladesh.

Javagal Srinath, who is in the Elite Panel of ICC Match Referees, will oversee the series while the on-field umpire would be India's Amish Saheba, an ICC release said today.

Bangladesh will play three-match ODI series, starting on August 30 in Darwin, against world champion Australia in the island nation. Rest of the two matches would be held on September 3 and 6 respectively.

Australian Peter Parker would officiate as the second on-field umpire in the first and third ODIs, while his compatriot Bruce Oxenford would stand in the second ODI.

All the matches would be held in Darwin.
