Vaas takes 400 ODI wickets

Sri Lankan seamer Chaminda Vaas today became the fourth bowler to take 400 career wickets in ODI cricket.

The 34-year-old Vaas, playing in his 322nd match, dismissed Yuvraj Singh caught by Sri Lankan captain Mahela Jayawardene at short mid-wicket to reach the milestone during the fourth one-dayer at R.Premadasa Stadium, Colombo.

He joins Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram (502), teammate Muttiah Muralitharan (478) and Pakistani Waqar Younis (416) in the group to take 400 wickets.
