Africa XI captain Justin Kemp promised that his team would go out and give off their best in the series.

"We have to take every game seriously. We will go out and give our best," the South African said.

Admitting that some top players were missing from his team's line-up, team coach Micky Arthur said it also provided opportunities to others to impress.

"It's also a huge opportunity for players from Kenya and Zimbabwe. They are very hungry to play and we have a young side. This is also a good way to raise money for Asian and African cricket," he added.
