Harmison will be back to his best: Donald

“Sometimes, if there is something missing in your action, it just won’t click. I am convinced that, as the season goes on, it won’t take him long to get back to his best. It’s just that every now and again he has been a bit inconsistent.
“I have asked the technical guys to put together some comparisons from when he was bowling well, right up till now. At this stage, I am just going to observe and take it from there,” the 40-year-old Donald, who knows English cricket well from his time as an overseas player with Warwickshire, explained.
Last year at Old Trafford Harmison took 11 for 76, including a first innings haul of six for 19, as England overwhelmed Pakistan by an innings and 120 runs. “I watched that match. Harmy got some nasty bounce and wasn’t a pleasant bloke to face. One word might just spark something off, maybe a word they haven’t heard before that makes sense,” Donald said.
“My dream after retirement was to be involved with the South African side, but up until now it has been frustrating. I don’t find it stimulating enough to pour out all my energies to guys who are 18 or 19 years old. This is the area I want to be in, it is what I understand. So it doesn’t feel strange to be wearing the England colours,” he said. |
