Pakistan's stand-in skipper Younis Khan, who made a match-saving 107 not out on the final day, was understandably happy that he could finish the job for his team.

"It is good to score runs when the team needs them. We fought back well in the match but it was important to finish the task," Younis said.

The brave fightback by Misbah and Akmal had given a lot of confidence to the team, he said.

"India played very well but after the innings from Misbah and Kamran, we believed we could achieve our objective here and a combined effort like this helps going into the Bangalore Test," Younis said.

Man of the match Wasim Jaffer, who followed his 202 in the first innings with a half century said there was always pressure while playing Pakistan but he was happy with his performance in the first two Tests.

"I had not played much cricket since the England tour and am happy that things are going my way.

"The pitch was spinning slowly and there was time to react to the ball. I just tried to play on the merit of each delivery," the opener said.
