Indian bowlers were more successful than their Australian counterparts on the WACA track because they bowled in 'set areas', according to pacer Rudra Pratap Singh who said he only concentrated in maintaining a good length.

"I maintained a proper length and bowled in the set areas as planned before the match," said RP Singh, who took 4-68 to put India in the driver's seat in the third Test.

Fast bowlers Irfan Pathan and Ishant Sharma also picked two wickets each.

RP Singh said the wicket still had a lot for batsmen and it would be a challenge to bowl in the fourth innings.

"The wicket is quick as I had heard about it and has a good bounce. It still has life and it will be better to bat tomorrow as well. We will aim for 450 target as it could be difficult to bat on fourth day," he said, adding "we will have to see if the match will last till the fifth day".

The Uttar Pradesh bowler said he did not mind getting hit for boundaries as he was also bowling bouncers on the advise of the team think-tank.

"I got hit for fours but I also bowled bouncers as I was asked to do so," he said.

Asked to compare the WACA track with the wickets in England, R P Singh said "the difference lies in the ball but the bounce is similar".
