"At the end of the day, we are not squealers," Arthur said.
"We strongly believe that what happens on the field stays on it. Besides, we were very happy with the general spirit in which the series was played in, and we left with very pleasant memories of the tour, especially the cricket that was played," he added.
Naturally, Arthur is not surprised that Harbhajan was banned for the rest of the IPL for slapping the equally belligerent Sreesanth.
"...When there are two such volatile players on the field, anything can happen," he said.
Meanwhile, BCCI Secretary Niranjan Shah said he was not aware of Harbhajan having abused and later apologised to Prince, his teammate in the Mumbai Indians IPL team, during the third and final Test at Kanpur earlier this month.
"I am not aware of this as nothing of this sort had been brought to my notice," Shah told said from Rajkot while responding to news reports claiming that Test captain Anil Kumble had come to the embattled off spinner's rescue and persuaded the South African team not to lodge a complaint.
Kumble, incidentally, did not play in the match after being declared unfit following a groin strain and his deputy and India's limited overs captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni led the team to a series-levelling victory at the Green Park. |
