ODI series win will give confidence ahead of Champions Trophy: Yuvraj

Indian one-day vice-captain Yuvraj Singh today said that if India can beat Sri Lanka in the forthcoming ODI series, it will boost their confidence going into next month's Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
"At home Sri Lanka is a difficult team, but we will be looking to beat them in the ODI series so that it gives our team confidence ahead of the Champions Trophy," Yuvraj said in an interaction with reporters in Chandigarh.
He also came in support for Pakistan and said the security situation there is not at all a matter of concern as expressed by some cricket playing nations and was ready to play anywhere in the world.
Yuvraj added that after taking the much-needed 'rest', he and skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni were fresh and raring to go in the ODI series against Sri Lanka starting August 18.
He also expressed confidence about India beating the hosts in the five-match ODI series in their backyard.
"We are a balanced team. Sachin Tendulkar is back and it is always good for the young side to be able to play along with such an experienced player. As regards, Dhoni and me, we are coming back after rest and looking fresh," Yuvraj said.
Asked about the combination of the side picked by the selectors today in Mumbai, the dashing left-hander praised the inclusion of youngsters in the team.
"It is good to have youngster like Virat Kohli in the side besides Suresh Raina and Rohit Sharma...Harbhajan is back and with Zaheer Khan too, I think we have a solid combination," he said.
