NEWS Cricket World Cup 2007>Asha-Lee single hits headlines in Oz 13th Jan 2007 22.02 IST By Agencies Asha Bhosle – Brett Lee duet 'You're The One For Me' is not only hitting the Indian charts and headlines but also hogging the Australian media headlines and airwaves for being such a super-hit in the Subcontinent. The bilingual song about the fascination of an Anglophile for an Indian office girl has rocketed to number three on the Indian charts and is being largely reported by the Australian media. The newspapers and talkback radio channels are not only highlighting the latest, and most unexpected, Brett 'Binga' Lee feat but also reams about the Indian veteran playback singer Asha Bhosle. The unlikely news must also be, literally, music to the ears of the professionals managing Binga's financial well being. Brett Lee's manager Neil Maxwell has been quoted by media website ninemsn as saying that he's waiting to hear from EMI India about sales figures. Maxwell also admitted he hadn't heard about getting to number three ''but we do know it debuted at number four and we're very happy with that.'' Brett Lee's management team is expecting a ''serious windfall'' as the recording deal is based on royalties, raising the prospect of a serious windfall ''but at this time it's purely a promotional opportunity to build a career in singing.'' ''They say that Indians love three things - music, movies and cricket - and Brett seems to cover all those bases,'' Maxwell added. Binga's musical collaboration with Indian veteran of a whopping 13,000 songs maybe a big news and played repeatedly by the radio channels for its amusement quotient, but it has failed to impress the music-lovers. 'You're The One For Me' is nowhere to be seen in ARIA's Top 50 Singles Chart published on January 8.
