Sachin Tendulkar is in for a soup. And in future, one may have to consult a dentist everytime after he or she meets with Sourav Ganguly .

That is the case if the names of the dishes at the hotel where the Indian and Sri Lankan teams will be accommodated are anything to go by.

The hotel staff concerned have come up with a novel idea of naming their food items after the Indian players as a gesture of honouring them during their stay for the second One-Day International in Rajkot on Sunday.

"The diners can taste Sachin Soup, Wall-dot Salad, Dada's Bite, Khan-E-Paneer, Kumble Curry and similarly named items when the teams are here," said the hotel's director Vimal Seth.

Seth added that the home team players would be awarded special mementos to egg them on to come back victorious from the forthcoming World Cup in the West Indies in March-April.

"They would be presented to the players during their stay here", he said adding that the hotel employees would also wear clothes matching the Indian team's colours for the duration of the visit of the two teams.

The hotel has also kept a drop box at the entrance for the cricket-loving public to send inspiring messages to the home team's cricketers for the World Cup which starts on March 13.

A 20 kg, four-foot long pineapple cake has been prepared when the teams arrive in Rajkot tonight, Seth said.
