The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has invited former Indian captains to the Eden Gardens for the November 13 India-Pakistan one-dayer to celebrate its platinum jubilee.

"The invitations have already been sent to the former national skippers. And we are now awaiting confirmation," Board sources said in Kolkata.

However, Mohammad Azharuddin would not be invited as he was serving a life ban from the game.

Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Shaharyar Khan and several other PCB officials are likely to come for the day-night match.

Meanwhile, preparations are on in full swing for the limited over outing, which will be Pakistan's first limited over match in the city since 1989 when they won the Nehru Cup defeating West Indies in the final.

Ticket sales would begin from Saturday with the CAB affiliated units picking up their quota.
