NEWS Lara, Yousuf await personal milestones26th Nov 2006 20.19 IST By Agencies West Indian skipper Brian Lara and Pakistani batsman Mohammad Yousuf will chase personal milestones in the third and final Test between the two countries in Karachi on Monday. Lara, the highest Test run-getter in the world with 11,904 runs, is just one hundred away from matching Sachin Tendulkar 's world record of 35 centuries while Yousuf needs another 149 runs to break West Indian great Vivian Richard's record of 1710 runs in a calendar year set way back in 1976. "This is most likely to be my last Test in Pakistan and on a personal note I would like to do something special in the match and leave with good memories of the ground," Lara, who holds the record for the highest individual scores in Test (400) and first class cricket (501), said on Sunday. "But what is more important is that if we can beat Pakistan, which is a major Test playing nation, after five days. That would make my day as we have not beaten a big team away from home for six years," he said. "One of the motivating factors on the last day at Multan was the way we played hard cricket till the end. We had a hard-fought draw and if we can continue playing like that I am very optimistic about this Test," Lara said. He made it clear that while he was not overconfident but he was feeling very good about his form.
