NEWS India-South Africa Series 2006>BCCI sends letter to Gloster for update on Patel 28th Dec 2006 18.01 IST By Agencies Miffed over the manner in which Munaf Patel 's injury has been handled by the Indian team's support staff, especially physio John Gloster, the Cricket Board has dashed off a letter to find out the update on the pacer. "A letter has been sent to Gloster to get an update on Patel regarding his (ankle) injury," said BCCI Chief Administrative Officer Ratnakar Shetty in Mumbai today. The right-arm paceman injured his ankle during the one-day series preceding the ongoing Test rubber and has mostly been an onlooker on the tour barring an appearance in a two-day practice game arranged hastily between the first and second Tests. The team management has decided to keep him back instead of sending him home though he has played very little part in the Test series that started on December 15, so far. The BCCI does not want to create any more mess after having already been red-faced for the flip-flop it did about young seamer Ishant Sharma's inclusion in the team.
