Skipper Rahul Dravid today became the sixth batsman in the world and the third from India to reach the landmark of 10,000 runs in one-day internationals during the third match against Sri Lanka in Goa.
Dravid, who needed 22 runs at the start of his innings in his 309th ODI, achieved the landmark with a single off Sanath Trean Jayasuriya , who is one of the six to have achieved the feat, when India replied to Lanka's total of 230 for 8.
Sachin Tendulkar and Sourav Ganguly , with 14,783 and 10,412 runs from 381 and 285 ties, are the other two Indians who have crossed the milestone.
Other members of the 10,000 club are: Inzamam-ul-Haq 11,665 runs in 374 ODIs; Jayasuriya 11,516, 378; and Brian Lara 10,136, 290.
