Left-arm speedster Irfan Pathan , whose fitness was under cloud, will travel to the Caribbean to play in the ICC World Cup beginning next month, chief cricket selector Dilip Vengsarkar said on Sunday.

"There are no alteration in the 15-member World Cup squad," he told reporters in Ahmedabad on the sidelines of the Deodhar Trophy cricket match, in which the Baroda seamer played for the West Zone.

Asked whether the near full quota of overs Pathan bowled in today's match was enough to assess his fitness, Vengarkar said: "it is very difficult to gauge anybody's fitness in such a short time. Irfan has not played for the last one month and needs to bowl more."

He added, "there is not much time left for the World Cup and Pathan will be bowling in the nets and will also be playing in the warm up matches (in West Indies) before the World Cup begins (on March 13)."
