Michael Vaughan gained representative honors with the England under 19 team, and made his County debut in 1993. A steady right-handed bat with a
sound defence, he bowls occasional off-spin. In the third test against India at Bangalore in 2001, Vaughan became the second English batsman, after Graham Gooch (113, against Australia at Manchester in 1993) and seventh batsman in test cricket to be given out for handling the ball. |
